This is a Mind Map for a course I wrote about 2 years ago. This visual representation is a useful framework, both in creating and teaching. I think when I show this to my students completing this course now, it should help them put what they’ve learned into a clearer perspective.

For this empathy map, I focused on students in the Embedded Systems Design program. These students are predominantly international, and as such, their pain and needs are often shared collectively. The ESD program has a reputation for being quite difficult (from a learner perspective), and current COVID measures have not helped to ease this pain. more… »
