Applied Research Course Project – WIIFM
The purpose of this project is to conduct an applied research project around a particular emerging technology or innovative concept that interests me. This project will be comprised of six keys milestones and will help me by developing skills around:
- Learning how to investigate and experiment with emerging technologies that are interest me
- create a proof of concept demonstration of something I can physically build or;
- write a research report about the process
- Gaining experience developing and presenting an elevator pitch that will help hone my ability to be concise and summarize my project ideas effectively
- Develop skills to evaluate various technologies, discover new tools (ie: CRAAP test) to assist with evaluation process
- Creating a physical proof of concept demonstration using the technology
- Learning how to create a promotional video
- Augmenting my presentation skills, exposure to potential co-op or industry partners via showcase opportunity
