Collaborative Dining Table
I just created my first Twitter account ! For the Collaborative Dining Table exercise I used my volunteer work. Until recently I was Chair of Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters South Western Ontario Branch (CME-SWOB) and each year we hold an event of ~ 400 manufacturing professionals, awarding $20,000-25,000 in scholarships to high-school, college and university students studying careers in Skills Trades and Engineering. Of course with Covid-19, we could not hold our event in May 2020 which was our 25th anniversary. The dining table reflects a shift from meeting in-person monthly with our current board members to other means of communication as noted on the diagram. As well, we recognized that our team did not have the skills / experience to shift to a virtual event in a short period of time. We reached out to Fanshawe and offered co-ops to a video student and communication student to support our shift to virtual. We were able to collaborate and host a successful virtual event (Sept 2020).
