Consider This Activity
I used Creative Commons Search, Flickr Creative Commons, Unsplash, and Pixabay to conduct my search. At first, I just searched one term, “goals”. This was a really interesting search as the Creative Commons Search and Flickr Creative Commons really focused on scoring goals and soccer nets; whereas Unsplash and Pixabay focused more on goal setting (which is what I was looking for). I then searched for “Goals and Motivation”. Again, this was an interesting search. The Creative Commons Search and Flickr Creative Commons showed more quotes than images. Pixabay and Unsplash showed more images.
In the end, I decided on an image from Unsplash. I like the look and feel of Unsplash and although I’m not entirely sure I had a specific image in mind, it provided the best kind of image I was looking for.
The image I selected is quite simple but I think it would help learners in my Goals and Motivation course as taking action is such a huge concept with goal setting and motivation. The coffee cup simply states “Begin.” and I think this is an important message as we can’t reach our goals if we don’t take the steps to get there.
