Consider This…File Management
I teach an Introduction to Microsoft Word and Excel class. In this class the very first thing I teach the students is the importance of file management. I found the attached image from Unsplash.com by searching for “organization”. The image is by Wesley Tingery and is “free” to use for commercial use under the Unsplash license which can be found here: License | Unsplash.
This image will be useful in my discipline when teaching the importance of file management. This photo depicts what looks like a unorganized set of files on top of a desk or table. This image can show students that when searching for a specific file or report, it may be hard to find in a pile that is not organized vs if they had everything labeled correctly, filed in the correct folders and filed away in an appropriate storage for easy access.
As for diversity and inclusion, it was a bit difficult to find an image for “file management” without having to pay for stock images. I had to try different key words to get an appropriate image to depict what poor file management could look like.
