I watched a video called Motivating Online Students with guest speaker Michelle Pacansky-Brock. I do like the old-school note-taking options. Although I have not officially used this specific format before I do often include sections, additional columns/points, and short hand.

This video highlighted the importance of getting to know your students, especially in an online environment. The discussion focused on the 6C’s of Motivation originally identified by Turner and Paris (1995). Even though the idea originated in 1995 it is still very relevant today and something I will certainly keep in mind as I develop my online courses this Spring.
