7 Deadly Sins of speaking:  gossip, judging, negativity, complaining, excuses, lying, dogmatism

4 Cornerstones of Powerful Speech:  HAIL – what you say to greet enthusiastically                                                                                                             H – Honesty,   A – Authenticity, I- Integrity in your word,  L – love

HOW you say it:  register (location of voice), timbre – the way your voice feels, Prosody – sing song of voice, pace, silence (makes a point), pitch, volume

CLOSE:

Create sound consciously, consuming sound consciously and designing all our environments for sound.

MAIN IDEAS: 7 DEADLY SINS OF SPEAKING, 4 CORNERSTONES OF POWERFUL SPEECH, HOW TO SAY IT vs WHAT YOU SAY

SUMMARY:   To have people want to actively listen, we must create an environment that is free of the 7 Deadly Sins of Speaking and incorporates the 4 Cornerstones of Powerful Speech. We need to create sound consciously, consume sound consciously and design our environments for sound.
