Cultivating a PLN
Formalizing my PLN is a work in progress and so my visual shows the first few steps in this process. I chose a tree, because I imagine each new connection is like a new branch in my network and each year it grows some more. I have been “following” a variety of organizations that interest me for a long time, although not in any formal way, so I’m curious to see what new information I can access via Twitter. As far as which group aligns best with my professional interests, so far, it has been both Georgian’s Centre for Teaching and Learning as well as the Science Teachers of Ontario. The former is super helpful for expanding my horizons in terms of educational processes and the latter often offers some cool practical ideas for my classes.
