This activity was quite interesting as our university has now had two and a half semesters online which definitely wasn’t easy for the students and the teachers.   I do get a lot of comments/ feedback from the students on a weekly if not daily basis as many students are living in remote areas with fluctuating internet connections.   For this activity, I used a Google Form to reach out my two recent courses, to gather information for this activity.  The students informed me of the usual comments but it was still nice to hear the first hand results of a semester that was very intensive and demanding.   Hearing the students anxieties and worries has also made me emphasize with them yet there is a curriculum and pacing schedule to get through.   I hear from my students how they appreciate how flexible I can be as well as empathetic as well.  I’ve always enjoyed pushing my students (my kids too) to a point and value their feedback and reflection after it’s over. I plan to interview some selected students once my leave is up to reflect more and go deeper into what could be done to accommodate students in remote areas and to lessen the anxieties of online assessment etc.
