Writing a thesis statement can be a challenge for upgrading students.  Often they write a topic statement and not a thesis

I searched a number of databases and found these were the most helpful

Oasis, Mason OER Metafinder, and E-Campus Ontario H5P Studio.

I started searching the term “thesis” but that returned items related to thesis writing for graduate level programs.  By generalizing to terms related to essays, essay outline, and how to essay I found results where more appropriate.

These three were most helpful

  • I loved this activity for an in-person class and want to explore a way to do it in an online group format.  It would give students the change to reflect on their own and by discussing with peers.

  • This is a simple website to help build a thesis.  I liked how it asked questions to prompt students to write a thesis that goes beyond stating a topic
