In the business course I teach, we talk about entrepreneurship and “being your own boss”. I decided I wanted to add extra resources about leadership

First, I looked at Business (MIT Sloan School). The resource I selected was https://mitsloan.mit.edu/LearningEdge/Leadership/Robin%20Chase-Zipcar/Pages/default.aspx. It will help students with the challenges entrepreneurs face. As well, the strengths and weaknesses of effective leaders will be discussed.

Secondly, next I looked at “Open Culture” and selected http://www.openculture.com/2017/10/the-power-of-introverts.html. Leaders don’t always have to be the “rah-rah” cheerleader type. There are also quiet leaders.

Lastly, I checked out Merlot and selected https://www.merlot.org/merlot/viewMaterial.htm?id=972134. Ben Fischmann talks about the importance of relationships as he built his enterprises. He also discusses surrounding himself with people who knew more than he did.

Thanks for your note Gary – we are currently working on incorporating an icon to let you edit posted responses – in the meantime I corrected “boos” to read as “boss” – It looks like you were really able to dig deep and explore the repositories listed to find OERs are connected to your discipline – great job!
