I decided to curate resources related to a topic that I am revising at the moment, Tuckman’s Stages of Team Development. I have identified a number of resources of different types that I think will benefit my students in understanding this topic.

Image – This image provides an effective summary of Tuckman’s Stages of Team Development. This can be used by students as a quick reference point as opposed to having to review a full document.

Video (YouTube) – This video is a good illustration of how Tuckman’s Stages of Team Development are applied in a specific context. I use film as an excellent way to illustrate the application of more abstract theory discussions on Leadership and to create a common context between students coming from different backgrounds and experiences. This video applies the film Coach Carter to the stages of team development.

Video (eCampusOntario, H5P Studio) – This is an interactive video-based outline of Tuckman’s Stages of Team Development from the H5P Studio. The questions throughout the video are a good way to encourage students to check their understanding of the concepts discussed as they watch the video.

OER (eCampusOnatrio, Open Library) – This OER textbook found on the eCampusOntario Open Library provides a clearly written overview of Tuckman’s Stages of Team Development. This resource provides students with a more in-depth overview of each stage and its application.
