Keys
I think the three keys for me really are being intentional in my enquiry (asking the right questions), building a networking of ‘equally interested in the process’ people (learning with and from them) and lastly the value of reflection. We are often celebrated for our outcomes that this often doesn’t acknowledge the path it took to get there…which is where the learning comes from. When I was completing my masters, I had several things fall through for a number of reasons outside of my control and initially I was distraught, 10 months of research was lost. What I distinctly remember my mentor doing was helping me change my outlook and allowed for me to complete my research from an enquiry position that included all the process and learning in the processes. This continues to be helpful to me today.
