Learner Challenge 1 – Home Alone
Home Alone – the consensus among my students is that learning from home has left them feeling disconnected from all of their professors and their courses. These are the students that would normally take face-to-face classes. When I ask them about their classmates, they seem to stay connected with their closest friends using technology. They are not connected to their professors in the same way, and the courses they signed up for don’t seem to have the same draw now that they are learning from home. They admit they are missing lectures and receiving that detailed breakdown of the upcoming assignments. My goal is to use technology to help my students regain that sense of belonging and get them excited again about their program!
