Learner Challenge – Consistent expectations and clear communication
I am approaching this activity as the Program Coordinator of an International program. Our students are currently studying from several countries and are grappling with challenges related to time zones, internet connectivity and COVID. From the feedback they have provided, I think they will become more engaged if faculty in our program are able to provide consistent expectations and communication. I recognize this will be difficult given that we have a significant mix of full-time, partial-load and part-time faculty teaching courses that they have taught many times before or have never taught before. We don’t want to tread on academic freedom, and recognize that many faculty are adapting to new technology as well.
CHALLENGE: How can I use technology to support faculty to provide consistent expectations and communication for our students?
