I enjoyed the gardener metaphor. Involving planting seeds and letting them grow with nurturance and support. Gardiners have a plan about what they hope to grow (I do a vegetable garden annually) and I know that what you plant can yield surprises and disappointments. You may need to make adjustments to many factors when seeds don’t take and each plant will grow in it’s own way.

I learned in the ‘teacher as expert’ model and although I feel I have knowledge and experience to offer, I want learners to grow and flourish and I recognize that the learning environment needs to nurture the seeds of knowledge.
