I am not musically inclined. I take in information least effectively through hearing. But I will be delivering a course/workshop that includes content on teaching with sound recordings. So when I was browsing the Agora challenges, I was attracted to the one that had participants explore the Acapella app.

It was more difficult to create music that was reasonably well-timed, and I finally discovered that I could manage it if I watched the previous recording and used it as a timing tool. I also can’t really think, at the moment, about how I would recommend this tool be used for teaching and learning purposes (beyond music composition and delivery).

But, a with the GIF experience, I think the learning was in the experimentation. I really did something that I have literally done before, short of banging on pots as a kid. I also think that being familiar with recording apps will also help with the work.
