Pleased to be an Experimenter!
This Experimenter module was really helpful and provided me numerous ideas to improve my class presentations. The first activity I selected was Menti.com. This was meant to be as just as I selected it I noticed that Conestoga College had just set up all professors on this tool. It is used in numerous Conestoga Teaching and Learning courses so it was very appropriate to learn. My students should also be familiar with using it. It is also easy to use on cell phones.
The second activity was Google Map Trek. I am a visual learner and many of my students who are engineers are as well. Looking forward to incorporating more visuals in my presentations. Thirdly I selected Padlet. I really like the opportunity to have students interact on this tool and learn from each other.
I used my mobile phone for Google Map Trek. Many of my students don’t use laptops in my classes so I had to ensure the images were visible. I have an old iPhone 5 so thought this was a good test! Overall I am excited with these new tools and look forward to using them in September.
