Currency:

The book was published on Nov 04, 2019. While this is not highly recent, the fundamental principles of web accessibility have not changed over the past few years, so the content should still be relevant.

Relevance:

The book focuses on web accessibility, an essential aspect of web development. However, it does not explicitly cover mobile application development, which is one of my students’ main areas of interest. This content will be relevant only to a subset of their studies.

Authority:

The book is published by Digital Education Strategies and The Chang School, which suggests that it is a credible source. However, additional information about the authors’ qualifications and expertise in the field would be helpful.

Accuracy:

It is hard to assess its accuracy without a thorough review of the content. However, the focus on international web accessibility requirements suggests a commitment to accurate and up-to-date information.

Purpose:

The book aims to help readers develop skills and knowledge to evaluate websites, web content, and web applications for compliance with international web accessibility requirements.

Notes:

The resource does meet many of the CRAAP test criteria. However, it may only partially meet the needs of my students as only a portion of their studies involve web development.

Final Recommendation:

I can use the book “Professional Web Accessibility Auditing Made Easy” as supplemental reading and a basis for class discussions and practical exercises in my Front End Development course. This resource should help to expose my students to accessibility so they can be better prepared for real-world expectations.
