Point of Resonance

I was very impressed by how thoughtful others’ responses were, but one that jumped out at me was Anne Pearson’s first characteristic of fostering curiosity and keeping our minds open to new practices.  I teach in sciences which of course is founded on the Scientific Method of identifying a hypothesis, testing it, and then tweaking the hypothesis and repeating the method again. How similar this is to having a teaching plan, teaching it, reflecting on the results and then making changes in our teaching. I am curious about how to continually improve my teaching and hope that reflects in my classes and encourages students’ curiosity in learning beyond the course objectives.
