Looking back through all of my reflections in this module, I would say that the key metaphor that stands out is the need for self-care. I selected the photo of the coffee cup and the notepad because I feel that in order to fully embrace self-care, we need to be able to reflect on our needs and make those a priority. Self-care is so important in the profession of teaching, in order to try and avoid burnout. Self-care is something we as educators should instil in our students as well.
