In learning about Indigenous people of the Western Hemisphere the Americas) students knowledge in this area have been hindered by pedagogies of agnotology, and information has been withheld rather than informed. To create an awareness of this I ask students questions regarding famous Indigenous people and places and events. Such as who was the first minority to serve in the Whitehouse either president or vice president, the correct answer if Charles Curtis a member of the Kaw Nation  Charles Curtis (January 25, 1860 – February 8, 1936) was an American attorney and politician, who served as the 31st vice president of the United States from 1929 to 1933. There are many more questions that highlight the pedagogies of agnotology and social memory of erasure regarding the Indigenous people of the Americas.
