Using a Map to Explain English Stress

On any given journey, certain locations on a map are relevant and important, and they should be highlighted to have a successful trip. Similarly, in any given sentence in English, some words are more important in that they have more meaning than others, and they should be highlighted (or “stressed”) for successful communication.
