empathy map -navigating clinic
This activity gave me the chance to remember what it is like to be in a situation where I am not familiar with the material or environment and there is a pressure to be successful. It is through those lenses that I choose the create my empathy map. This would be particular difficult for my international students. Not having English as the primary language is another layer to consider. Many of my classes are kinetic based learning. We are in a clinic setting applying the theory based skills into a hands on scenario. Having this map will allow me to reconsider some of the implementation of practices when we are able to return to interactive face to face life. Shifting to a virtual format I now see and experience the situation like my students of not being familiar with my new learning environment.
