In Early Childhood Education, how a classroom is designed sends subtle messaging to the learners about their capability. Putting items out of reach tells them that they are not capable of managing or learning on their own. It tells the learner that an adult or teacher must help them to learn and to keep them safe. As the photo linked shows, learners find ways to get the knowledge on their own.
