This exercise was difficult, not because it is hard to do but rather to select one only, in my class, I vary my teaching style depending on the material I am covering and the level of engagement and I vary the resources from session to session, so I can relate to many of those Patches.

The one I settled on is Patch Eleven, the reason for that selection is it stuck with me one of my students comment 2 years ago, he said “Sir, I understood the content you presented but as I was trying to explain to my partner I realized there is more to it, it drove me to look at more material and as I was explaining it I found that I learned more about the topic beyond the learning outcome, so not only did I learn and teach but I learned how to learn more in-depth by co-teaching”, at that moment I learned and I pointed out to my student we always learn and we learn from each other.

So I started making it part of my 3-hour lab/lecture to include a student and it helped the students also do a presentation and improve their presentation skills as an added bonus, it also gave them some appreciation to what professors do to prepare for their sessions 🙂
