An analogy for the pedagogical approach recommended for inclusive special education might be putting together a puzzle. A teacher needs to find ways to accommodate for any personal student needs mandated by physical disabilities – such as sign language, wheel chairs, or text to speech digital applications. Teachers must then assess the students individual needs in order to improve social communication – learning strengths, weaknesses and preferences, and special interests.
