Three key characteristics of SoTL

Three Keys:
- Interesting question: Looking sensitively and rigorously at the evidence of student learning, and asking if the assumptions that are going into this learning design are correct or not.
- Having a methodology: Bringing your research to your teaching systematically. Your methodology should be grounded in questions and the researcher’s expertise.
- Going public: Going public and sharing the findings, whether they are positive or negative, in some broad way.
