I searched for a few different images around the idea of try, try again, because I have structured my whole course around giving students many opportunities to try, fail (or not do as well as they want), and try again. I have ungraded activities that help students build skills needed for the graded activities (and I provide tons of feedback), I have skill development tasks that will help them learn how to do the pieces of the larger summative assignments (lots of feedback, and can resubmit to improve learning and grade as needed), and I offer opportunities to write a draft of larger assignments, self check for plagiarism, get feedback and peer review before having to submit the “big” assignment… All the student needs to do is show up and TRY! I actually think that if you do all of the work (or even 75% of it), it would be VERY hard to fail my class.
