This was an interesting exercise; I usually add to my networks sporadically and don’t tend to just search for new connections all at once, so I found this useful to think about what I actually want to get out of my network and what connections I might learn the most from. Some I chose because they are directly useful to my professional work, either as a way to stay informed on new events or new ideas, or as a way to connect with other professionals who might be in a similar field. Other connections were chosen because I think they will give me insight into topics that I might not have considered before, but are connected to what I do or to my research interests.
