Writing for Nurses has to be complete, accurate and timely.  Part of being able to write well is to research well.

I approach the first week of every new class with expectations of professional writing and professional searching for peer reviewed articles, not google searches.  In addition, the use of APA format has to be accurate.

Resources I provide for the students are:

  1. Georgian College Library APA citing guide
  2. Cites and Sources, An APA Documentation Guide textbook
  3. CINAHL searching in Georgian College Library
  4. Google Scholar
  5. ASK ON, Georgian College Library

I have utilized the ASK ON feature myself and while I am always willing to help students, I make sure they know this valuable resource is there for them.
