Bongo – Video Assignments
My students are frequently asked to submit reports describing a practical lab procedure. This is difficult and frustrating for students who are ‘hands-on’ visual and physical learners. By creating and submitting a video that validates the student’s ability to preform a task effectively, helps to practice and master the skills required. The added advantage of being able to record these labs in a remote setting, such as at work, also gives the student flexibility in timing. Group work assignments also give the individuals an opportunity to observe and receive feedback from fellow students. A demonstration video by the instructor can describe visually the expectations in completing the assignment successfully.
