The photograph I’ve chosen is a clever representation of diversity in different shades of coffee.  I also, like the photographer, love coffee.

I’ve used all of these image resources in the past, and I’m a big fan of Unsplash.  I find the platform super simple to use and the quality of the images is excellent.  I find that creative common images have a tendency to be poor in quality, and the collection on Unsplash is an exception.  The search for this particular image was simple… I searched for the term “marginalized”, “inclusive”, and “diversity”, in that order, until I found an image that resonated with me.  I did not use any boolean operators on this occasion.

The image I’ve chosen was shot by Nathan Dumlao, on Unsplash, and is very close to a public domain license.  The exact wording of the UnSplash license is as follows…

Unsplash grants you an irrevocable, nonexclusive, worldwide copyright license to download, copy, modify, distribute, perform, and use photos from Unsplash for free, including for commercial purposes, without permission from or attributing the photographer or Unsplash. This license does not include the right to compile photos from Unsplash to replicate a similar or competing service.
