I decided to do this concept map based on our department’s first semester writing course, Communication Essentials. I have found concept maps are a great way to organize my ideas for topics and assignments, especially the first time I am teaching a course. It allows me to move things around in terms of creating a schedule and try to establish a scaffolded approach to the course.
