Although this post is aimed for instructional designers, I think it may resonate for many of us who have been teaching for some time in any kind of learning environment.  For this activity and response, we are asked to find something that we like…or dislike.  For me, this “patch 29” really hits home some great tips and advice.  From “being adaptable” which is self-explanatory to “take a course,” these are great tips for any teacher, coordinator or yes, instructional designer.  For instance, “to stretch your technological muscles” really helps us to experiment and use new apps, tech. that interests us.  I’ve done this numerous times and when we get using it and practicing it with colleagues, we do increase our confidence with it.  Again, we constantly see and get introduced to great apps and sites to use in class and we, as life long learners, write it down and this “to do list” gets longer and longer.  I can’t agree more that we need to use it way before we think of implementing in the classroom.  I’m this type of person, as yes, I also see something and forget or procrastinate to use it with my students.  The last tip I wanted to reflect on is “PD for ID” which is great and couldn’t agree more about taking that time out to expand our breadth of knowledge.  So much is happening pre-COVID and well if it ever is really over too.   Keeping our class relevant and I love the acronym WIIFM (What’s in it for me) from another response was great and to really keep students aware of what we are aiming to learn by the end of the course.   Thanks and apologies for some ideas that were a bit here and there.
