Cornell Notes
I have watched a TED Talk about benefits of a bilingual brain. It can be found here: https://www.ted.com/talks/mia_nacamulli_the_benefits_of_a_bilingual_brain#t-288456 My Cornell Notes are attached.
The idea of using mind maps and Cornell Notes when teaching English is not new to me. Actually, I have taught my students in the EAP program how to use these two skills when reading and analyzing texts. It’s interesting to see how students start appreciating these strategies when they get to writing summaries! Both, mind maps and Cornell Notes are great ways to organize what you’ve read, identify main ideas and major supporting details, and paraphrase them to write a good summary.
