I watched “Look Beyond Job Titles”  – Keynote Presentation OSCA 2017. J.P. Michel is the creator SparkPath Challenge Cards, a card sort tool we are discussing in class with aspiring career development professionals.  I watched this to get some background and ideas for using the tools with clients.

Using the Cornell notetaking method isn’t far off how I take notes, using bullet points, keywords, boxes, underlining, etc.  I stumbled a little with the left-hand column not repeating key info already highlighted in the notes.  I can see how this method might take some time to get use to and how it would benefit students who have difficulty pulling out key concepts from lots of information covered in a lecture.

Sorry for the chicken scratches, hand written notes are still better for my brain than typing on a computer.
