Define – Learner Challenge
My learner challenge is related to problem-solving and engagement in tasks. Although I may be making an assumption, there seems to be a lack of interest/knowledge of how to complete tasks that require time and planning. If they cannot finish a task quickly or easily, they give up and submit little work beyond the minimum or below minimum. I am concerned about this, but haven’t been able to really focus on how to help students learn to learn (?) or persevere(?) in a course that is very content heavy and no grades are assigned for me to ‘teach them how to learn’. Don’t get me wrong, I do use universal design (activity options), provide reminders, scaffold work, etc…
