Challenges with students not following instructions correctly for an assignment – some followed some of the instructions, others not at all (nothing on point in the submission), multiple similar questions etc.   Some of the causative factors were tech, not listening, distractions both from co-students as well as this was when we were in the midst of campus construction – sounds like saws, jackhammers etc. in wall beside us – I had to start and stop teaching around the active vs. inactive noise minutes – quite a challenge lol.   However this was a fairly unique situation but I have modeled my empathy map around general everyday distractions also.
