I explored all the listed repositories thoroughly to try to find resources for helping my students learn Excel in a more fun and interactive way. As well I wanted to provide extra support to those students who require practice or other methods of learning.

Most of the repositories really didn’t have what I needed as Excel is not something you would find in some of those discipline specific ones. However, Merlot turned out to be a great site! I had to register and then I was ro sort through resources like videos and texts. I could also make my own learning exercises by combining things I found.

I’ll use this video to help students understand formulas and functions better as this module always causes a lot of anxiety and often negative results on tests.

I am going to try using this open access text as it’s got some great images and hands on activities to support learners. We already have a text, but the more practice students have at their fingertips the better.

Finally, I went searching through HP5 Studio as I had already dabbled in it this past summer and found some great resources and interactive hands on activities. Here is one I’ll use with my first level class as it is a great activity to learn the parts of the workbook in Excel.
