For this activity, I wanted to find OERs related to online and/or hyflex teaching and learning. The term “hyflex” did not return any results in the OASIS referatory, and just a couple of results in the Mason OER referatory. This isn’t that surprising since hyflex is relatively new compared to online. When I searched for “online learning”, OASIS returned 48 results and Mason OER returned 667, with a pop-up notification for 745 additional results!

I liked how easy it was to filter the results in both OASIS and Mason. The options on the left-hand side of the page are really convenient.

I really liked the sound of this book, Creating Online Learning Experiences by Crosslin, et al., that I found through OASIS. Part of the description states, “As online learning evolves, the lines and distinctions between various classifications of courses has blurred and often vanished” and I feel that is so relevant to where we will be post-pandemic. This resource, Online Course Design for Humans from Trent Online, also looks interesting! I found it through the eCampusOntario Open Library. It is short, but it’s definitely a workbook (using embedded H5P content) versus a book and it seems very practical. From Plan to Reality – Online Course Design for Humans (pressbooks.pub)

Finally, this video resource showed up in numerous searches across referatories and repositories: What we’re learning from online education. This TEDTalk is over 9 years old, but still feels relevant for present day as online learning, in its various forms, is not going away any time soon. This is a great resource for those that may be skeptical of the value of online learning. Daphne Koller: What we’re learning from online education | TED Talk
