Learner challenge activity – memory retention

Students have difficulty with organizing their studying and notes and being able to memorize the various organ systems, components and functions within the body as well as physiology. Many students are noting in support meetings that they are having trouble with retention specifically ( names, location, function and how they relate to other systems) given the breadth of information in covering the whole body in a short time period. I would like to explore online technology or support methods like mind-mapping, flashcards, or other technologies specific to anatomy and physiology to help with their preparation and organization of thoughts as well as retention prior to test taking.
