Learning through time
When I read this activity my mind ventured a little from the current world of twitter and LinkedIn. One of my main interests is Adult Learning in all it’s forms, especially distance education. There is a long history of how this has been delivered and this info graphic covers about 80 years of history, but the ideas and drive are all connected.
In the 40’s people gathered around a radio for the Farm Radio Forum, had a group discussion, and submitted their answers for the next broadcast – this sounds an awful lot like hybrid learning to me.
When distance education moved to TV similarities can be drawn to TED talks, Youtube, or any number of video conferences.
And now we can look back at all the learning about how to learn over the years and connect with each other to build something even better.
