Literacy is not enough

I looked at video that spoke about the difference between literacy and opportunity for global improvement and empowerment. The Cornell notes process was useful for giving me permission to write whatever I wanted in the right column, but then forced me to focus on main ideas in the left column. I think that TED talks are naturally very well structured because of the oral mode of delivery. It will be neat to try this method on a “regular” lecture that may not be quite as organized. I also wonder why the summary can’t be on the right, rather than on the left. 🙂
