Nursing practice is like driving a car. It requires a lot of foundational knowledge in order to develop higher-level thinking. For example, one’s ability to develop critical thinking requires a great level of foundational knowledge, including both arts and science in nursing. Understanding anatomy and physiology will provide the students with the foundation to understand disease and treatment.
