Mapping my PLN
The mapping of my PLN was interesting. I’ve kept this on a high level, as I plan to use LinkedIn and in-person communication to build my PLN. The topic I chose was Project Management Education. It can be broken down into three parts for me, Management, Project Management and Education. While I have spent a lot of effort on management, project management and facilitation in the past, working through these Ontario Extend modules is a new focus for me in education. To build my PLN on education, I’ll leverage my older connections with a new focus on education, and I’ve started following new connections and working with new colleagues as well. I’ve found that I’ve already changed the topics in my feed by following a few key topics on LinkedIn, such as Ted-ed and Inside Higher Ed. The next steps, of course, will be to engage with others on these topics, and for that, I’ve started following some of my new colleagues also on LinkedIn.
This was a good exercise. I’ve attached my high-level map, created in SketchUp.
