Mapping Your PLN – Songwriters
I chose to create a map of my PLN network of songwriters. Most of the people in my network are individuals I know through the open mic scene. There are several other songwriters who I also like or follow on my social media accounts but since I do not know them personally, that’s why I did not include them for this activity. For these individuals, I would consider myself a fan, versus the individuals included in my PLN whom I have more of a reciprocal relationship with.
I used colour to organize my PLN mind map. I used orange to indicate instrument they play. Dark green/blue for visual artists (and photographers), light blue for music teachers and green for promoters. Pink indicates other open mic hosts and the yellow indicates the venue or organize that they are connected with. This activity was helpful in illuminating the types of roles individuals play within my network and what they have in common with other each.
