Metaphor for teaching Kitchen and Bath Design
My metaphor for teaching design is building a puzzle together. Faculty work as a team and start with the outer edge of the puzzle frame to form the foundation. Next we organize the colours and textures of the remaining puzzle pieces. Lastly, we build the inner part of the puzzle to complete the picture.
Creating a set of design drawings starts from the foundation of knowledge and later is built upon to complete the entire drawing package. Each course has a portion of the puzzle pieces and altogether form the completed picture.
