Mountain guide
Learning a foreign language can seem like a huge mountain to climb, and everyone is progressing at their own pace sometimes taking breaks, sometimes surging ahead. As their “guide” it is my job to help the students navigate the best route for them to take to reach their goal. For some it is fluency, for others it is gaining a deeper appreciation for culture, and for some it is being able to communicate on a basic level.
While we are a team tackling this mountain, I must also provide the support, guidance and encouragement that each individual student needs to be successful.
