Professional PLN: Nursing and research
I have been and remain very grateful for the groups I have joined that have enhanced my network. I have met many individuals and have been able to to collaborate on research through attending conferences. I have also participated on research groups formed through formal networks through our collaboration with Laurentian University. I am a member of the Academic Reference Group for the College of Nurses of Ontario. This keeps me up to date on all regulatory changes that I can bring back to the school. It also provides a forum for me to raise concerns. I am a board member of the PSFDH foundation, which keeps me up to date on the needs of our community hospital, and provides professional and personal connections. I am also on several other committees internal to the school of nursing and as well as external, that helps me to stay connected with upcoming changes, and allows me an opportunity to provide feedback and insight as well.
